Stellenbosch University's involvement in schools.

National statistics indicate that approximately 50% of students in higher education never graduate and that the greatest incidence of student drop-out occurs in the first year of study. There are divergent reasons for this high drop-out figure, but the most significant one is the gap between school and university. In the light of this, Stellenbosch University regards it of the utmost importance to become involved in schools and to make contact with learners - not only to prepare learners for further studies, but also to introduce them to the world of the University.
