Student Affairs The Division provides students with advice and support, specifically with regards to the wide variety of extra-curricular activities on campus. |
Centre for Student Councelling and Development This Centre supports students with their psychological development and wellness. It does this through the collaboration of specialists from various fields of psychology and related disciplines.
In regular workshops, students can develop and improve specific life skills, for instance, study skills or stress management or can obtain advice for students who find that they are still not sure of their choice.

Library Services Information is indispensable to study and research. The Library and Information Service strives to provide students with a dynamic, first-rate service.
It comprises the central library (the JS Gericke Library), five branch and satellite libraries and a number of departmental collections.

Language Centre The University's Language Centre provides language support and services in accordance with the University's Language Policy and Plan. The Centre consists of five units: the Unit for Afrikaans and English, the Unit for isiXhosa, the Unit for Document Design, the Writing Laboratory and the Language Service. These units are there to help, especially in areas such as academic literacy, professional communication and with the development of writing skills. The Language Centre also offers a language service. |

Campus Health Services (CHS) An all-inclusive medical service for the campus community is situated at 7 Claassen Street in Stellenbosch, between Metanoia and Heemstede. Hours of service are weekdays 08:00 to 17:00. Tel: 021 808 3496. Costs are charged at the minimum contracted-in tariff. |

Sports Medicine Service (SUSPI) A sports medicine service that includes sports physicians, physiotherapists, biokineticists and sport scientists is offered by the Stellenbosch University Sport Performance Institute (SUSPI) at Coetzenburg. The office is situated next to the Universitys' gymnasium. |

Safety Services

Risk and Protection Services USBD is a university section that delivers in-house security- and safety services at the Stellenbosch, Tygerberg and Bellville Park Campuses. USBD also delivers a support service during fire and emergency exercises to all University environments and residences.
Our service centres are manned 24 hours a day and are the reporting points for incidents such as theft, trespassing and assault. They also serve as general information centres.

Green Route Besides the general patrol services, the Green Route is actively patrolled by security officials on foot and bicycle from 21:00 to 06:00. It is recommended that students use the Green Route when walking around on the main campus after sunset. |
