Career guidance for prospective students

The Centre for Prospective Students (CPS) offer in collaboration with registered psychologists professional counselling services to empower learners to make informed subject and career choices.

Services that we offer:

§         Grade 9 subject choice counselling

Psychometric assessment of personality, ability (aptitude) and interests with individual feedback to learners and parents are done to integrate learners' self-knowledge with the school's subject choice options.

Recommendations that are made are objective and impartial and are in line with the learner's personality and interest, as well as the school's subject choice package. The learner is also made aware of the effect that the choices will have on his / her future study options.

The cost is R950 per individual learner and includes a 4 - 4,5 hour assessment, 1 hour individual feedback and a written report. This service is offered at the Centre for Prospective Students on the Stellenbosch campus.

This service is also offered at schools and the costs then amount to R750 per learner (a minimum number of learners have to participate).
